Shields Communications was founded in 1986 and incorporated in 1991. Privately owned and operated, Shields Communications was one of the first telecommunications contractors in Virginia to install, terminate and test fiber optic systems for local area networks. We specialize in, as well as provide, installation warranties for the following cabling services:

Our customer base ranges from Fortune 500 accounts to the home office. Approximately half of our customers have a single facility, while the other half occupy multiple buildings that are often at different locations.
